About me...

I am Kamalika Mazumder, an Electrical Engineer by profession and a passionate writer by choice. I was born in the picturesque hilly suburb of Lumding, Assam, which infused my dreams with fairy wings from childhood. Currently living in Guwahati, Assam, my professional journey has led me to a role as an officer in the Indian Railways.

Poetry runs through my veins, and I have already published three books on Bengali poetry namely ‘Kuwashay Bheja Timeline’, ‘With Love, Kamalika’ and ‘Je series OTT dekhay na’. Notably, my Bengali poetry book, 'With Love, Kamalika', was nominated for the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in 2021. 'Heir, I Am' marks my debut in English literature. This novella is a departure from my previous works, a story that reflects the lives of people around us.

Over the past 6-7 years, I have crafted poems and short stories, which have found their way into various anthologies, local newspapers, little magazines, and online blogs

Above all, I’m a true bibliophile at heart. I love reading, and my interests span a wide range—mystery, thriller, fiction, sci-fi, contemporary, self-help, biography—anything that grabs my attention. I’ve started this blog to share my passion for books and connect with fellow readers who, like me, are always on the lookout for their next TBR adventure.
