When I spotted the book in the WhatsApp group of my Literary agency, I was immediately fascinated by the concept of "Stoem"—a story told through poems. I couldn’t resist picking it up to read.

What I have loved about the book :

Reading Nostos Homecoming feels like diving into a classic Disney movie, evoking a sense of nostalgia that is truly delightful. Afsana's mastery of spinning this tale in poetry adds a unique charm to the story, making it a joy to read.

One of the standout features of this book is the characterisation at the end of the book, presented in poetry, which adds depth and dimension to the characters. Additionally, children will appreciate the summaries provided after every chapter, helping them grasp the main context of the story more easily.

What I felt could have been better :

Being a children's book, it does a great job catering to their level of imagination. However, there's always room for improvement. I felt it could have benefited from a catchy rhyme, phrase, or dialogue—something memorable that kids would love to recite even after finishing the book. 

Why one should read or not read this book:

This book is a perfect choice for parents looking to buy their kids something meaningful and entertaining to read during the summer vacation. Moreover, despite being a children's book, Nostos Homecoming also resonates with adults, evoking memories of their own adventures and experiences away from home.
